What I Learned from a Top Earner in Home Business

Recently, my upline leader, Angela Brooks, graciously shared with us some notes she took at a training for top earners in Network Marketing.

There was so much packed in there about how to be successful!

And let me tell you, it has more to do with developing your sense of self than selling a product!

In the 5 years I’ve been in training as a network marketer, I have read more self-development books, read more self-development blogs, followed more positive thinkers, movers and shakers than I have ever known or done in my entire life!

It is hands down the #1 thing that is going to make or break you.

And as for me, I haven’t been as successful as I’ve wanted to be because of my own mental blocks – crippling negative thoughts, self-talk and self-doubt that keep me from applying all the awesome things I’ve learned and becoming 100% successful in my business.

Because of that, here’s the part that jumped out at me from her notes:

What would happen if you started playing all out? If you started unapologetically exploding the fire inside of your veins to show up to the world as a volcano, to show up to the world as an inferno of energy and power and passion. What if? You see there, inside of you, is a lion, a dragon, a phoenix. There’s, inside of you is a caged, 8000 pound gorilla that could alter the terrain of society. It’s in you. Many people have been playing it so small for so long that it’s locked in a deep, deep dungeon inside of your heart somewhere.

The weird part is that when I started reading the names of all the animals, I remembered a prayer session I had had a few months earlier with some close friends. One of the ladies I was praying with saw all of us in her mind as represented by different animals and I was the GRYPHON.

royal-griffin | LearningWithMom.orgThe griffin, griffon, or gryphon (Greek: γρύφων, grýphōn, or γρύπων, grýpōn, early form γρύψ, grýps; Latin: gryphus) is a legendary creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and an eagle’s talons as its front feet. Because the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. The griffin was also thought of as king of all creatures.*

In heraldry, the griffin’s amalgamation of lion and eagle gains in courage and boldness, and it is always drawn to powerful fierce monsters. It is used to denote strength and military courage and leadership. Griffins are portrayed with the rear body of a lion, an eagle’s head with erect ears, a feathered breast, and the forelegs of an eagle, including claws. These features indicate a combination of intelligence and strength.*

Being a union of an aerial bird and a terrestrial beast, it was seen in Christendom to be a symbol of Jesus, who was both human and divine.*

You can’t control the things that strike your soul, and I was floored by all of this coming to me as I read BUSINESS NOTES! (Of all the things!)

But, I do know that it was a word meant for me to read and internalize.

I am only as good as I LET myself become.

I am only as successful as I LET myself be.

I am only as valuable as I LET myself serve others.

It’s time for me to rise. To be the gryphon I’ve been named as.

If you’ve been holding yourself back, ask the Lord for a revelation of who you really are in spirit. You may be shocked at the answer.
