Homeschool Preschool Curriculum God's Little Explorers | LearningWithMom.org

So many of you want to start homeschooling preschool, but have no idea where to start. You are desperately looking for a Preschool Curriculum.
I know. I was like you.

As a trained teacher, I am used to piecing together my own curriculum. I had already started with Toddler Lessons (sign up to get yours here!) and felt fully capable of putting my own Preschool curriculum together.

Then… life happened. I got way too busy and tired with the housework, diaper-changing, late nights, early mornings, and everything else!

I had to admit I was  either going to have to give up the notion of creating my own preschool curriculum, or give up the notion of homeschooling altogether!

I needed a comprehensive curriculum that would take my children through the alphabet and numbers. It was also very important to me that I find a curriculum with a Biblical foundation to set the tone for all of our lessons. I found everything I wanted and more in a beautiful curriculum called God’s Little Explorers.

(Description from the site)

How God’s Little Explorers Christian Preschool Curriculum is structured:

1) Bible Adventure: This is the time to read the Bible story, sing any recommended songs, and do a related craft or project.

2) Theme Adventure: During this time, we’ll be exploring the theme with crafts, science projects, cooking projects, and so forth.

3) ABC & 123: This time will specifically introduce an alphabet letter. We’ll also be exploring colors, shapes, and numbers during the year.

4) Life Skills: Preparing a preschooler for life is much more than teaching them the ABCs! Each week, we’ll review various self-help skills, learn to complete chores correctly, practice manners, and do a service project.

I’ll also list additional activities you can use to substitute for ones you might not like or have time to complete.

Two other optional sections:

Book Bag: I will list books to go along with the theme and suggest an activity to be completed around the book.

Learning Bags: These are Stacie’s version of busy bags.

If this is anything like what you would love to see in a Preschool curriculum, then I highly recommend getting God’s Little Explorers.

You can see how I used GLE to homeschool my daughters when they were 2 and 4 years old.

My youngest is now 4, but this looks like an excellent program. I found your post through the Work in Progress link up.
