Learning With Mom - Jasmine | LearningWithMom.org

Hello! My name is Jasmine.

I’m a PASTOR, TEACHER and EDUCAIONAL CONSULTANT who is passionate about Empowering moms to Educate their own children Academically, Spiritually and Holistically, while also Taking Control of their Health, and Becoming Mompreneurs!

Just when I thought I was done with the Department of Education, I found myself choosing to return.

Through a series of unfortunate events, my husband and I found ourselves 1800 miles away from each other and in some deep financial trouble.

I had stopped working after my second daughter was born so that I could stay home and homeschool. I also had my son about 19 months later.

It was NOT EASY to be home with my 3 littles under 3 years old without my husband 1800 miles away! It was a huge struggle emotionally, physically, mentally, and yes – financially.

That’s why, two years later, I decided to pack it up, move back home and return to Teaching for the THIRD time. T_T

It’s a long story, but I never thought I would have to go back, and now here I am – teaching in the public school again – teaching other people’s children, when my heart is to teach my own.

Just having to return to work and school has turned our days into a whirlwind of drop-offs, pick-ups, homework sessions, scheduling nightmares and late evenings where I am still at work.

I have to stay at work late to grade papers, have meetings and lesson plan because once I’m home, I have to care for my children.

A teacher’s work is never-ending, but so is a mom’s. It’s an extremely tough balance, and I haven’t learned how to manage it yet.

Returning to work has helped alleviate some of the financial burden, for sure, but it has only created more of an emotional, mental and physical one.

Different challenges face me – such as
  • the Common Core, which I not only have to subject my students to, but my own children,
  • lack of time together,
  • lack of time in the Word
  • lack of time to relax and slow down
  • dealing with a new school, new admin and teaching an entirely new grade

I am looking to supplement my children’s curriculum since I can’t fully homeschool. Things that are practical and don’t take much time. But, most importantly, things that integrate our faith and family values.

I know I’m only one of millions of families that face these issues daily. And it is rough to feel like you’re on a hamster wheel that doesn’t stop turning.

I know how you feel because I’m running this race along side you.

Just like so many of you, I want to be home with my babies, but still contribute financially to my family. I want to be able to retire my husband from his job, so he can enjoy time at home with us, too!

So, this is how I’m working SMARTER and not HARDER –> I’m using Social Media.

A lot of businesses train you in the traditional way: they want you to teach lots of in-person classes, or meet hundreds of people one-on-one.

I’m sorry, but I have NO TIME FOR THAT!

But, I’m ALWAYS on my phone. I’m ALWAYS on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest.

Building a business on Social Media is the 21st Century way!

Are you trying too hard to make money from home and actually spending more than you’re making?

I feel your pain! But, it doesn’t have to be that way anymore.

You CAN make money online, and you CAN be a top earner in your company!

Check out this wonderful training by top earner, Julie Burke.

To your success!
